Acupuncture
Traditional Acupuncture dates back to over 3000 years and has been used as a part of the primary health care services offered in China. Acupuncture is one of the many medical modalities offered in Oriental medicine. The basis of Acupuncture is to adjust or realign the flow of the human life energy within the body so it becomes balanced naturally and pain or illness is reduced and eliminated.

The flow of life energy throughout the human body is known by the Chinese and an acupuncture practitioner as Chi (Pronounced Chee). This life energy flows through (gates) or points called meridian points. It is these meridian points on the energy pathways throughout the human body that transports and directs the human life energy (Chi) to every part of the body. The meridian points are the key to allowing acupuncture to be a viable and successful natural healing medical treatment for the human body.

Acupuncture in its simplest description is the insertion of fine/thin needles into the meridian points (gateways) that will correspond with an acupuncture practitioners diagnosis of a patients illness or pain. The needle insertion into the prescribed points helps alter energy stagnated at the prescribed acupoints and stimulates the acupoints to begin normal adjusted flow of life energy (Chi) to the areas where the pain or illness was originating from. The process of acupuncture acupoint stimulation by acupuncture and other forms of acupoint stimulation will help restore normal balance and flow of the human life energy (Chi) revitalizing the body to repair itself and maintain its health.

The main objectives of acupuncture are:

1. Readjust the human body assisting in the healing process for internal medicine, OBGYN, and other varying diseases and illnesses.
2. Relieve pain and other related symptoms.
3. Strengthen the human body immune system
4. Revitalize, balance and then harmonize the functions of our body organs with each other, creating a healthy and vibrant human body
