DC Department of Health Consolidated Consumer Health Line
Washington, DC- The District of Columbia Department of Health has launched its first consolidated call center health line. The health line was established to reduce or eliminate many of the existing call centers and create a centralized vehicle through which residents can access information and services provided by the Department of Health. This new feature provides residents, visitors, healthcare providers, businesses and other key stakeholders with instant access to information about programs and services offered by the Department of Health.
Residents accessing the Department`s health line are greeted by one of many trained health care professionals providing access to the Department`s programs, service referrals, transfers to DC, Federal and State Agencies and current health information. The health line, a component of the Department`s on-going customer service initiative, will ensure that residents accessing the Department`s services will be provided accurate information and quality service on a consistent basis.
The Department of Health`s mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and quality of life of residents, visitors and those doing business in the District of Columbia. Providing an easier way for residents to access the Department`s services and current health information will contribute to the fulfillment of that goal.
One number one call, because your health matters.
