Senior Trainer / Network Technician
READ THIS FIRST BEFORE YOU APPLY. WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED & SEASONED TRAINER UNDER THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA.
NETWORK TECHNICIAN: In addition to knowing relevant computer and networking terminology, protocols, and hardware, computer network technicians must have mastered necessary software, including different operating systems (primarily Windows). They must also understand basic network architecture models such as peer-to-peer and client-server. .

DOWN AND DIRTY: We're looking for someone willing to get their hands dirty. You'll be setting up training equipment on-site. You'll be writing documentation and training materials. You'll be hands-on with the applications and customers. You'll be answering phone calls and emails about our products. You'll be on phone support when not training on-site.
ROAD WARRIOR: We're looking for a trainer that's willing to travel. Our trainers routinely perform their job in less than ideal customer settings. You qualify if you have performed onsite business applications training and have no problem with travel.
EDUCATOR: We're looking for an experienced educator that can train both our customers and junior staff. You have to be able to convey information to people with different learning styles. You'll establish curricula for our customers and staff. You'll develop training materials for both on-site and web-based training. You'll establish metrics to measure training effectiveness.
COMMUNICATOR: We're looking for a smart person that's a good communicator. You need to be able to articulate (and draw!) your ideas so others can understand them and provide meaningful feedback. We need someone who can quickly understand, then convey, complex business practices.
BUSINESS SAVVY: We're looking for someone that understands business. We sell a wholesale distribution management product, and it's important that you have a firm grasp of both business operations and accounting. It's vital that you have the people skills to influence and assure people that don't want to learn new ways of doing business.

Job Tasks for: " Senior Trainer / Network Technician "
Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
Evaluate trainer performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
Develop trainer testing and evaluation procedures.
Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with AutoPower standards.
Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with customers and employees.
Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by community schools and designate training procedures.
Help prepare training budget for department or organization.
Knowledge Requirements for: " Senior Trainer / Network Technician "
Administration and Management: Familiar with warehouse distribution business processes and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, overall supply chain methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Computers, Networks and Electronics In-depth knowledge of the concepts of networks firewalls/ routers, circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Must be self-discipline with the ability to balance a variety of tasks. Able to spend long hours at a keyboard debugging a program and be dexterous and patient enough to weave a complex web of wires. Because you will often provide technical support to network users, you must be able to help nontechnical people understand and use complex equipment/devices and software. In addition to technical expertise, we want you to excel in verbal and written communication and to have good interpersonal skills.
Education and Training -- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects desired but not essential.
Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for support and training services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Public Speaking -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Instructing -- Teaching others how to be proficient in the following AutoPower Modules or Products. (We will train a successful candidate in our software you are not expected to start with a senior level understanding of the software but you are expected to understand the business processes)

Customer Support - Phone and onsite support of all customer related needs related to the software and hardware used to manage the AutoPower business system.
Travel for Onsite Training: Implementation planning, training project management, coordination of data conversions, customization software modifications and training materials.

" The educational backgrounds of our trainers/technicians vary considerably, reflecting the diversity of duties and levels of responsibility.
" AutoPower Module Certification and previous experience are assets for most specialties, and are essential for more advanced positions, including Support Management, Business Consultant - Advanced Trainer.
" College graduates who have earned certification and/or those with extensive understanding of the networks, some distribution industry background, and training abilities will have the best opportunities for this position.
